Our full-care hospital in the Central Valley is one of the largest employers in Stanislaus County with approximately 2,400 employees and more than 200 volunteers. We admit more than 19,000 patients annually and treat more than 51,000 patients in the Emergency Department each year. The scope of services includes cardiology, neurology, emergency and trauma services, air ambulance, women and childrens services, orthopedics, medical/surgical, oncology, and critical/intensive care.
We are looking for an RN for the ER department. Must have a Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California. This is a Full Time Day Shift. Minimum Salary: $35.36.
The RN functions within the full scope of licensure and will implement the nursing process to include the following: assess patient and family needs; develop a plan of care based on assessment; direct implementation of the plan of care for a group of patients in collaboration with the charge nurse and review and evaluate effectiveness of care plan. These duties include lifting and turning of patients, performing prescribed treatments, assisting with ADL (activities of daily living), and administration of medications PO, IM, and IV.
The RN assures that physiological, psychosocial, safety, learning, rehabilitative, spiritual, cultural, and self-care needs of patients and families are addressed.
Knowledge: In depth knowledge of nursing process in addressing physical, psychosocial, and psychological needs of patients. Demonstrates basic knowledge of unit specific age criteria for patient population.
Special Skills/Equipment: Successful completion of orientation/90 day provisional program.
Unit Specific: Completion of unit specific orientation and competencies. Ability to write, read, hear, and verbally communicate in English to the degree required to perform the job. ABCs of CPR. Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate.
Preferred qualifications: Baccalaureate Degree, and, National certification in area of specialty.
