Our full-care hospital in the Central Valley is one of the largest employers the County. We are seeking an experienced DIRECTOR OF WOMENS SERVICES. MustRN, BSN, Masters Preferred, RN CA License, CPR, ACLS, PALS, NLS.
Under the direction of the VP of Patient Care Services, the Director of Womens Services is responsible for the daily operations of the department. Assumes 24-hour, seven day responsibility, authority, and accountability for assuring the department, and all individuals in the department, achieve the functions mission and clinical expectations for the assessment, treatment, and care of patients are competent to deliver care appropriate to the age of patients serviced, i.e. Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric. As the Director of Womens Services, you will be involved in the establishment and implementation of Hospital and Nursing Service philosophy, objectives, policies and procedures, applies concepts derived from management and communication theory, counseling methodologies, clinical nursing judgments, acts as a role model for practices and behaviors and demonstrates effective interpersonal skills. Will also be accountable for integration of pre-hospital care including county and city agencies, is a liaison between Medical, Nursing, and Administrative Staff, assumes the responsibility of House Supervisor and/or clinician.
REQUIRMENTS: Current and valid California Registered Nurse license Two years clinical experience in specialty area Strong financial management Solid experience with employee performance and improvement process Member of at least one professional nursing organization Current BLS, NPR, ACLS certification National Certification in area of expertise preferred
