Our full-care hospital in the Central Valley is one of the largest employers in Stanislaus County with approximately 2,400 employees and more than 200 volunteers. We admit more than 19,000 patients annually and treat more than 51,000 patients in the Emergency Department each year. The scope of services includes cardiology, neurology, emergency and trauma services, air ambulance, women and childrens services, orthopedics, medical/surgical, oncology, and critical/intensive care.
We are in search of an experienced Nurse Practitioner - Rural Health Clinic. This is a 3 day 12 hour day shift. Must have a current licensure as a Registered Nurse Practitioner in the State of California. Must provide these performance skills cards within 12 months of hire date: BCLS, ACLS, PALS. Preferred Qualifications: BSN and three years of clinical nursing experience with one year of recent experience as an adult or family Nurse Practitioner. National Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner with a specialty.
Demonstration of strong interpersonal skills, including speaking and writing skills. Ability to function independently and possess the ability to identify and manage patient care issues. Ability to manage own time and schedule tasks. Must have initiative to manage patient care issues. Ability to read, write, hear and communicate in English to the degree required to perform the duties of the position. Must be able to travel in and out of Merced County, including transcontinental travel. If using a hospital or own vehicle, must possess a valid California drivers licenses and upon request, provide proof of liability insurance.
Assumes total responsibility for the Rural Health Clinic on a 24-hour basis, 7 days per week. Implements the planning, organizing, directing, evaluation, controlling, communication and teaching required for the Rural Health Clinic under the direction of the Director of Nursing. Facilitates the development of new programs and services.
We provide and promote effective inpatient and outpatient health care services including 24-hour Emergency Care, Rural Health Clinic, Surgery, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Diagnostics Imaging, and Intensive Care Unit and Physical Therapy.
Qualifications:
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse Practitioner in the State of California.
Diploma or Associate Degree with 2-3 years experience.
Must provide these performance skills within twelve months of hire date:
BCLS-Basic Cardiac Life Support
ACLS-Advance Cardiac Life Support
PALS- Pediatric Advanced Life Support or NALS -Neonatal Advanced Life Support
Preferred Qualifications:
Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or related field.
Three years of clinical nursing experience with one year of recent experience as an adult or family Nurse Practitioner.
National Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner with a speciality
